I have been receiving an increasing amount of complaints regarding DatBet which have made us take action. A couple of complaints have happened in the past which could be chalked up to error, but at this rate it cannot simply be ignored.
We are going to warn our readers and recommend you do not create an account and deposit funds at Datbet.net as they have been late in paying out their players, and some are not even getting paid at all. If you play at their site you are at serious risk of not being paid your deposit and potential winnings!

A brand new website in the jungle of online sportsbooks are DatBet. What makes this one stand out in the crowd is the fact that they are focused solely on offering wagers on e-sports. They have a clear goal of becoming the number one bookmaker that offers bets on e-sports online. By offering innovative wagering solutions and excellent customer support, they are hoping to win over the betting crowd. The bets they offer are certainly good, but I haven't gotten the chance to use their customer support as of yet. No need I hope, knock on wood!
DatBet Overview
The first thing you notice about DatBet, is their poor website. Yes, I said it. It doesn't look all that good. Hey, my site isn't the best either, but I do think it looks better than theirs. And they are supposed to offer a big service and have a goal of trying to be the best at something. They have gotten a lot of (negative) feedback about it, let's hope they take that to heart and actually fixes things.
DatBet is probably a play on words when it comes to the 'dat ass' meme, where the emphasis is on dat (aka that) as being something good. Clever name, short and memorable. Obviously catering to the online crowd :)
Other than that, there isn't much to say yet, as they do not have much of any history. I will update this review as I get to use the site more, but for now I do not know much about it.
Is It Safe To Bet At DatBet?
DatBet is a brand new sportsbook, and as always, I am quite cautious leaving my money at operations that have just recently popped up. They are licensed and regulated in the Netherlands Anthilles, with the Government of Curacao. This makes them fully legalized to offer sports bets online. They do not offer that many different methods of depositing, but VISA, bank transfer and Ukash are at least available. They are working on getting Mastercard and PayPal operational.
The Positive About DatBet
Since they are brand new in the business, they currently do not offer a whole lot of bets, but what can be seen from their betting menu is that they plan to offer several betting markets besides the standard ones in Dota 2, League of Legends and Starcraft 2. We can see they have added menus for CounterStrike, Halo 4, World of Warcraft, Tanks, Heroes of Newerth and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I for one like RTS the best, but it doesn't hurt having options!
They also seem to be available to US bettors, a population which don't have many online betting options these days, and especially not when it comes to e-sports.
The odds they offer are sometimes even competing with the odds at Pinnacle Sports. This is not an easy feat and should propose lots of opportunities for great bets. I see several bets that offer great value at both of the sites, so having double the places to check for odds seems to pad the bottom line and also the amount of action that is possible to get down on these low limit sports.
They tout that they want to become the leader in customer relations and offer their players the best help and assistance online. They are off to a good start where they lowered their bank transfer deposit limit from $300 to $50 after a customers request. Not bad! Recently they have added even more deposit options, like PayPal, Skrill and even Bitcoins for those that like to use them.
The Negative About DatBet
They offer their services to most countries around the globe, but as of writing this, Turkey, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia and Switzerland are sadly being left out. This might hopefully change in the future, depending on local laws and legislations.
Another thing is, as already mentioned, the fact that they are brand new. This always raises a red flag with me, but it should be quick enough to give them a whirl and see if they really mean business. I decided to deposit $300 just to check them out, not feel that my entire life savings where at stake here. Although I have only been betting for a couple of days, so far so good.
The design of the site looks kinda bad (IMO), but does not pose that big of a problem to me. You simply want to place your bet and get to watching the game, but for some this might be a little off putting. I agree that it is not the best site, but the interface works like a charm. Hopefully they will listen to the critics regarding the site.
Conclusion
DatBet is great for the industry of e-sports betting. Someone has to be the first ones to take the plunge and become focused on this niche. Although it is hard to break into the gambling world which is filled with crooks and frauds, let us hope that this one is here to stay. I would give them a go, simply because of the good odds they offer and the wide selection of bets.
