100 Thieves vs Golden Guardians

The fashion in which 100 Thieves outclassed a surging Team SoloMid yesterday erased all doubt. It's still too early to make any broad assumptions, but if they keep this up it'll be nigh impossible not to board the hype train! 100 Thieves are, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most dangerous teams in the LCS right now, and that's really saying something given whom they have for opposition.

Simply put, the addition of Abbedagge and Reapered has pushed this organization into bona fide contender status, and they've earned all the hype they've been getting lately. They can play a myriad of different styles and execute at a very high level across the board. They're not perfect, mind you, but the fact that they're *this* good *this* early on is simply astounding. And, well, their best days are still ahead of them, which is quite a frightening notion -- the fact that they'll only get better and better as time goes on. Well, assuming they don't implode in much the same fashion as the many 100 Thieves line-ups in the past. That's why we're all still reserved -- we need a bigger sample size before fully boarding the hype train.

Regardless, if their last three games are anything to go by, they're all but guaranteed to go deep and actually challenge for the LCS throne. Heck, they might even be able to lock down a ticket to the World Championship if Team Liquid don't step up and deliver once it matters most. The fact that 100 Thieves are performing so darn well definitely threw a wrench in most pre-split power rankings, but we're not complaining -- they'll make the next couple of weeks endlessly more exciting!

And, naturally, they probably won't struggle much against a team as underpowered as the Golden Guardians.
