100 Thieves vs Team Dignitas

This is a tough one. Perhaps that's even an understatement. A fight between a team with just a single win and a team that is still winless. Now, it's not all about records and win-loss tallies, but rather the effort and level of play that's on display every time they step foot on stage to compete.

Unfortunately, both 100 Thieves and Team Dignitas lack in those areas as well. Saying that they're abysmal across the board would truly be an understatement. There's just nothing to like, nothing to compliment, and no week-to-week improvement we can speak of. It's not all grim, though: 100 Thieves have Ssumday who is always a dangerous asset and even Ry0ma, their imported mid laner, has been doing a lot better than most people expected. Granted, he's playing comfort picks but the point still stands. By the same token, Dignitas' bottom lane duo of Johnsun and Aphromoo has been hardcarrying beyong measure, although it's obviously not enough given the fact that they're still winless.

To make matters even more complicated, both teams have made serious changes to their starting line-ups mere days ago. 100 Thieves now have Contractz in jungle and Poome in support whereas Dignitas decided to swap out three fifths of their roster and start with Lourlo, Dardoch, and Fenix. These are huge, monumental changes we're talking about and they affect more than just their odds of finding success. We need to talk about synergy, team-wide cohesion and whether or not these changes make sense in the first place. Obviously, they were not made in haste but out of necessity -- both teams are downright abysmal performance-wise and they had to react seeing how we're already four weeks into the regular season.

We'll side with Dignitas on this one as they made the more logical changes when compared to 100 Thieves. That said, this truly is neck and neck. Contractz didn't impress much yesterday and the same goes for Poome. In Dignitas' case, everyone who underperformed was basically removed from the team. The coaching staff didn't exactly slot in world-class performers either, but at least Lourlo, Dardoch, and Fenix have a ton of experience in playing with each other seeing how they competed under the Team Liquid banner many years ago. They're all fairly similar playstyle-wise and they constantly want to skirmish which, depending on the situation, might end up being a positive thing for Dignitas as a whole.

Either way, regardless of the final outcome, expect a sloppy, fiesta-like clash.
