Boston Uprising vs Florida Mayhem
Next up, we have a fairly unexciting fight between Florida Mayhem and Boston Uprising. Frankly speaking, you could find this match-up interesting only if you're a Florida fan and that's literally the only possible option. Boston are, for all intents and purposes, the absolute worst team in the Overwatch Leauge and, as things stand, they won't improve much (if at all) over the coming weeks and months.
How does one, then, get excited for any of their games? Well, it's hard. Perhaps even impossible. If anything, we'll get to see Florida play -- an organization that is widely regarded as a bottom-tier dweller. 2020, on the other hand, is proving to be an entirely different beast. At the time of this writing, Florida is a deceptively strong team. You might not know it by just looking at the names on their roster, but they're playing some insanely good Overwatch and are more than equipped to upset the status quo.
Obviously, no one's expecting them to leave much of a mark in the grand scheme of things, but they're far better than most people realize. Furthermore, they already fought against Boston last week in what was one of the most commanding, one-sided shellackings you'll see all year. All things considered, why should we expect anything else other than a carbon copy, a repeat from start to finish? Echo did make her grand appearance on the Overwatch League stage, but even if Boston comes out with the most insane Echo in the world they're still lacking in all other departments. They simply lack the talent and depth to compete and Florida -- flawed though they are -- have a fairly diverse arsenal of weapons.
Therefore, betting on Florida is the only logical option right now. While it might be a bit closer than it was last week, the Mayhem should still be capable of getting the win in rather emphatic fashion.
