Dallas Fuel vs Houston Outlaws

One of the highly anticipated matches this week is surely the clash between Dallas Fuel (ex Team EnVyUs) and the Houston Outlaws (Team OpTic). The clash exists on multiple levels - both organizations have staple Counter Strike: Global Offensive teams that have a long-standing rivalry. In addition they have two fantastic rosters. That said, there is a big discrepancy between the two at this time.

The Outlaws signed a ton of DPS talent - Jake (last seen spearheading USA’s efforts at this year’s World Cup and doing an admirable job), LiNkzr from Europe’s Team Gigantti (last seen lifting the Overwatch Contenders Season 1 trophy), CLOCKWORK from FNRGFE, Mendokusaii from Cloud9 and a couple of other well known players rounding out the tank and support roles. They’re a team filled with talented players however overall they didn’t have enough time to develop synergy in order to contest against Dallas.

Dallas Fuel on the other hand have been playing together for quite some time now and are one of the most respected and accomplished North American teams in Overwatch. They managed to best Korea’s Afreeca Freecs and win the inaugural APEX Season 1 championship last year and stormed through all opposition at the first season of the Overwatch Contenders, beating out FNRGFE in the finals in very dominant fashion. They have some of the best players in the world, and also some of the most beloved and popular.

Furthermore they’ve made the right additions to the existing roster in order to round it out perfectly and eventually fix any holes in their game. Dallas Fuel is considered by many the only team to be equipped to take on Seoul Dynasty and London Spitfire. (and to a certain extent even New York Excelsior) They’ve had tons of international success in the past, but this is the perfect time to see them fight against the best Overwatch players in the world on a weekly basis.

It should come to no one’s surprise that they’re the heavy favorites going into this match, however with time the Outlaws should be able to mold into a top tier team as well. Bet big on Dallas Fuel to take this one in rather clean fashion.
