Dallas Fuel vs San Francisco Shock

This, folks, is what dreams are made of; Dallas Fuel vs. San Francisco Shock has "fireworks" written all over it. And, frankly, no one thought that'd be the case coming into 2021 and yet here we are. Words cannot describe the level of Overwatch that we're bound to witness once these two line-ups spawn and start trading blows. They are separated by the slimmest of margins, which means that this clash won't be for the faint of heart.

Most of us are still "shellshocked" at the sheer fact that Dallas are *this* good. It doesn't compute, really. No one saw it coming, and it's still somewhat perplexing to see them trade blows with the who's who of the Overwatch League. They're not a one-hit wonder, either: they have all the right tools and players to once again go the distance and hoist the June Joust trophy. Whether that'll happen still remains to be seen, but the odds are certainly on their side.

The same goes for the Shock, of course, although we'd be remiss if we didn't say that they don't have as much hype or momentum as their Texan peers. They're still a spectacular team and one of the frontrunners to win the 2021 season of the Overwatch League, but their play often leaves a bit to be desired. The few roster changes they'd made coming into 2021 have left a mark, and they obviously need a bit more time to adjust and get on the same page. Dallas, on the other hand, have "clicked" surprisingly quickly and are reaping the fruits of their labor.

Naturally, they're the favorites coming into this oh-so-alluring clash of titans, but the gap between them and San Francisco — assuming there even is such a thing at this point in time — is by no means insurmountable. If they're better, it's by the slimmest of margins, so predicting the outcome feels nigh impossible. In other words, if you're after a safe bet you'd be wise to look elsewhere.
