DetonatioN Gaming vs Cloud9

Next up, we have Detonation FocusMe vs. Cloud9. Not exactly the most anticipated of clashes but an interesting one nonetheless, especially if you're a fan of the LCS and this age-old North American organization -- the only one in the history of its region that has ever truly left a mark on the international stage.

Their opening loss to DWG KIA -- the tournament favorites, mind you -- wasn't that easy to stomach, but they look fairly good all things considered. It was a fairly competitive affair (up until it wasn't), and C9's talented bottom lane duo definitely gave DWG a run for their money. Mistakes were made, of that we're all aware, but they fought to the best of their ability and have nothing to be ashamed of whatsoever. Heck, if they shore up their weaknesses (i.e. the early game and their drafts) they might even stand a chance of doing a bit of damage.

This is why their clash against Detonation FocusMe will be so important: it is their shot at getting a bit of redemption and conjuring up a bit of hype and momentum for themselves, something they'll definitely need if they intend on truly challenging the status quo. They're currently winless so getting a win on the board will also do wonders for their confidence.

All in all, they're the heavy favorites and with good reason. They're better in every which way and should, by all means, be able to emerge victorious without breaking much of a sweat.
