FlyQuest vs Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses taking on FlyQuest doesn't really get the blood pumping. There's no other way to put it. Still, it's an interesting match-up, and it'll probably be a lot entertaining than most folks expect. That's almost always the case whenever Evil Geniuses take the stage — they'll either entertain us beyond measure or implode trying. And, well, that's why we all love them. They might not be particularly consistent (an understatement, frankly), but at least they try their hardest regardless of the odds.

Right now, they're sitting on a fairly acceptable 6W-6L record — nothing all too impressive, but not bad either. The important thing, however, is that they've been steadily improving, and whenever they managed to get on the same page and play their best League of Legends, they've been quite a formidable opponent. Heck, we're putting it mildly here! That's perhaps been the biggest issue with EG thus far -- they're both incredible and downright dreadful. It really depends on the day, and you can never be too certain which "shade" of EG will come out and play. Heck, they're probably not sure either — there are simply too many factors at play.

Still, their talent is undeniable, and they've looked quite solid thus far, although far from spectacular. They still need a bit of time before they can get on the same page as a unit and harness their true potential. Whether they'll succeed in time for the playoffs still remains to be seen, but we're not too hopeful, given their track record.

FlyQuest, on the other hand, seems to be nothing but a sinking ship. Their revised line-up (the one from last week) looked a lot better, but they were still nowhere near as good enough to compete. There's just nothing to commend them for, nothing to praise or to extrapolate and say "they'll do better" — they won't. This team simply didn't click, and there's no other way to put it. Moreover, with just a couple of weeks left, they probably won't improve much (if at all), so definitely temper your expectations if you're a FlyQuest fan. They're not dreadful, mind you, but they're not destined to accomplish much in the grand scheme of things. Right now, as things stand, they're one of the worst teams in the LCS and that's not going to change any time soon.
