G2 Esports vs Fnatic

We're at a very strange point of the Spring Split. The fact that Fnatic fell to Astralis is not the kind of result we expected, but it just goes to show how everyone's fallible and can, in fact, drop the ball at the most random moment. The gap between these teams definitely exists, but it shrinks and expands arbitrarily -- it has a "life" of its own and you can never fully predict what'll happen.

At least it was a "banger" worthy of tuning in to.

G2's loss to SK was also quite worrying, but we really shouldn't read too much into it either. The result of this, however, is that neither of these two former "kings" have any noticeable amount of momentum. That's what happens when you get smacked around by a bunch of bottom dwellers. They're still LEC royalty, but they're flawed and inconsistent, and there's no telling what'll happen once they spawn on the Rift and start playing.

It's a toss-up, basically, and whoever says otherwise is pretty much lying. Both teams have had huge ups and downs throughout the split, and there's really no way to predict how everything will shake out once they start trading blows. It'll be a fun, action-packed game, of that we're certain, but its ending is completely up in the air.

We're sort of leaning towards Fnatic on this one, although there's no concrete reason as to why. They have more potential than G2 primarily because they're more seasoned and experienced, but that doesn't mean they'll be able to win this *particular* game. They're separated by the slimmest of margins, and we cannot confidently say which of these two will come out ahead once everything is said and done.

They both have a shot, and will surely trade the heaviest of blows from the very moment they spawn on the Rift.
