G2 Esports vs Rogue

To close out the day we have a rather fascinating match-up between the defending champions G2 Esports and a deceptively capable challenger in Rogue. By all means, this clash has the potential to deliver incredible, top-tier League of Legends.

First of all, it's downright impossible not to tune in any time G2 Esports steps foot on stage to compete. The fact that we get to see this five-man line-up play on a weekly basis is, by all means, an absolute pleasure. You never know what they'll pull out or how well they'll play -- it all depends on the day and their approach in that one given moment. Sometimes they decide to tryhard and dispose of their opposition with staggering ease. Other times, however, they prefer to have a bit of fun. In any case, they're the best and most capable team Europe ever fostered and even though we're just two weeks into the regular season, it seems as though they have no intention of relinquishing their throne.

Realistically speaking, there's no other challenger expect for Fnatic who can truly trade blows with the defending champions. Every other team is lacking in comparison -- they lack experience, mechanical prowess, synergy, or simply talent. The thing with G2 is that they can win through brute force methods, or through incredible, layered macro. They can pick and choose their strategy, approach, and avenue for success.

In other words, don't expect them to lose any time soon, barring any baffling troll drafts and team comps.

Opposite them we have Rogue. Now, coming into 2020, almost everyone had Rogue ranked in their Top 5, and with good reason. This squad has a metric ton of potential and even though they have yet to accomplish anything in the region, they have all the right tools to not only compete with the best teams in the region but even find a fair bit of success. Their four games so far have been fairly solid, although far from perfect.

They're still acclimating to the meta but have shown incredible potential. Their only loss came at the hands of Origen, which made things very clear: they're not exactly ready to challenge for a spot in the Top 3 but they're darn close to being able to. In a couple of weeks' time, this Rogue line-up could potentially upset the long-established LEC order, which is one more reason to tune in and watch them play. They're a top-tier challenger in the making and they're fighting without fear or reserve, regardless of whom they're up against. Will their fearless approach be enough against a team of G2's caliber? Probably not, but they're going to fight their hearts out regardless.

It's impossible not to bet on G2 Esports at this point in time. They're every bit as dangerous and capable as they were last year and are surely looking to make a statement for the third week in a row.
