G2 Esports vs SK Gaming

For our final match of the day, we have a clash between the reigning, defending champions and the unlikeliest of challengers -- SK Gaming.

Now, there's not much to get excited for with this one. On the one hand, SK Gmaing is definitely not a pushover and is probably going to challenge G2 Esports in some fashion. On the other, the odds are so heavily stacked in G2's favor that it's impossible to expect anything other than a dominant, one-sided shellacking.

Be that as it may, watching these two teams compete will not be without its positives. SK Gaming looked fairly good in their first outing against Team Vitality, and while it was far from a commanding win, SK did the best they could with what they had. There were even a couple of promising moments spread throughout the game, and if they continue building on their foundation they might even be able to compete for the last playoff spot. That's obviously a stretch, but the potential is there. Whether they realize it is a completely different matter.

Opposite them, we have the current "kings of Europe." G2 had a rough start against MAD Lions yesterday, but such a thing was somewhat expected. It was the opening match of the season and they were playing their first game with Perkz back in mid lane and Caps in bottom. It wasn't the most spectacular start overall, but once they were acclimated to the stage they wasted no time in establishing their dominance. In the end, they looked like the G2 of old, with Caps styling on his opposition with a spectacular showing on Senna.

We're obviously siding with G2 on this one, but don't be surprised if SK put up a much bigger fight than anyone expects. G2 are starting a bit slower this time around and that could provide SK Gaming with a solid chance.
