Immortals vs Team Dignitas

Next up, we have a clash between two presumed "bottom of the barrel" teams — Dignitas and Immortals. Frankly speaking, this is as far from a premier match-up as you can get, but it'll still probably entertain. Both teams have a lot to prove and they'll surely enter the match with a chip on their shoulder.

Still, despite belong in the same "category" of teams, they currently occupy two disparate ends of that spectrum. Dignitas, despite playing just a single game, have looked downright spectacular in their upset win over FlyQuest. Heck, we're perhaps cutting it short here. It was as one-sided a shellacking as they come, and it made one thing perfectly clear: Dignitas mean business and they care very little for what the oddsmakers think. Granted, FlyQuest didn't have Josedeodo, but they still paled in comparison next to the boys in black and yellow. Every single member of the team carried his fair share of the weight, ensuring a smooth transition from one stage of the game to another, en route to one of the more dominant wins of the day. FakeGod and Soligo, in particular, blitzed across the Rift with staggering ease, outperforming their opposition like they were cutting through butter. It was a sensational showing from a team no one thought highly of. And sure, we're talking about a single game here, but for a team with so little hype and momentum, getting a win -- and a dominant one at that -- is all that matters at this point. They want to build confidence, and they'll take any "W" they can get.

Immortals on the other hand, have succumbed to Evil Geniuses in today's opening match and have looked about as bad as everyone expected. To be fair, they're playing without nearly half of their intended roster, so it's not like they had a chance. It's unfortunate that so many teams couldn't start with their full line-ups, but it's the reality we live in, and it was somewhat expected given the current state of the pandemic. Does IMT stand a chance against Dignitas? Sort of, but it's more of a long shot than anything else. If you're a fan of the boys in black and green, then you'd be wise not to hold your breath for it to happen. Dignitas have a much better shot of emerging victorious, in no small part because of their more cohesive five-man line-up. Plus, they have more experience, not to mention the better and more successful players, so there's very little Immortals can do to compete. (if anything at all)

In the end, we'll side with Dignitas on this one as it's the only logical choice.
