Immortals vs Team SoloMid
Team SoloMid vs. Immortals doesn't really get the blood pumping. There's no other way to put it. Immortals are nothing more than a relatively well-rounded gatekeeper (at best), so it's hard to get hyped whenever they're scheduled to compete. They're not bad per se, but they lack the talent and long-term potential which are necessary to actually leave a mark in the grand scheme of things. That's been the case with IMT in the past, and it's definitely the case now as well.
Still, they're a feisty bunch, and they always try their hardest, even though you can't always tell based on their performances. They're inconsistent, inherently flawed, with fairly pronounced strengths and weaknesses. They *can* upset from time to time, but these moments are so few and far between that they never really amount to much. They're not the worst team in the LCS, but they're not far off either. Still, for a roster that doesn't have any superstars or hardcarries, they've done admirably well thus far, so credit where credit is due.
Team SoloMid, on the other hand, have looked downright incredible throughout the first week of play. Their last week's games, though, left a lot to be desired, but at least we were given a glimpse of their potential, and we were not left indifferent. A couple of fumbles and mistakes along the way are par for the course. Right now, at the time of this writing, they're undoubtedly one of the best teams in North America and they shouldn't have too much trouble in taking Immortals down — they're better across the board and will surely prove it, too.
