Betting on a clash between two wildcard teams is rarely a good idea. There's really no other way to put it, frankly. It's not that they're bad or particularly dreadful overall, but there's always a big question mark looming over them — how good are they *really*? Unfortunately, it is a question that cannot be answered until they step foot on stage and clash off. We *have* seen them in action but the sample size that is at our disposal is fairly negligible, so we might as well disregard it entirely.

Still, we know for a fact that DetonatioN FocusMe are better — they've proved it by their actions. Their upset win over Cloud9 was all we needed to board the hype train, and they nearly beat DWG KIA too -- the tournament favorites, mind you. So, all things considered, the LJL champions are not to be trifled with. On the contrary! They look and play like a team possessed, like a five-man unit that is on a mission. Whether they'll eventually leave a mark is anyone's guess, but they're undoubtedly worth our respect and admiration.

Gillette Infinity, on the other hand, haven't done nearly as well. Their losses to Cloud9 and DWG erased all doubt: they're nowhere near as good as their peers and they lack the tools which are necessary to compete at the highest of levels (not that anyone expected otherwise). Then again, they *did* beat DFM at the very start of MSI, so it's not like they're incapable of trading blows. There are eleven champions at this year's Mid-Season Invitational, and while not all of them are created equal, they still warrant a fair bit of respect. Still, DFM looked so darn good against Cloud9 and DWG KIA that it's impossible to bet against them on this one. In fact, most of their opponents have been singing their praises throughout the duration of the tournament and have them pegged as the second-best team in Group C — so we might as well board the hype train and hope for the best. Their play certainly warrants it.

As always, betting on wildcard teams and regions rarely makes sense, but DetonatioN FocusMe seems to be on a roll and are surely empowered after nearly taking the LCK champions down in what was an absolute slobberknocker of a game. Gillette are nowhere near as stacked and dangerous, so DFM should, by all means, be able to emerge victorious and inch closer to the Rumble stage. That said, we're talking about the slimmest of margins here, so if you're after a safe bet you'd be wise to look elsewhere!
