INTZ e-Sports vs Team Liquid
By the looks of it, Team Liquid is the best team in Group A of the Play-Ins. In hindsight, we should've known given their pedigree and sheer number of seasoned veterans competing under their banner. This is still nearly the same team that has won the LCS four times in a row, and while they might not be as aggressive as they were in the past, they're still every bit as dangerous.
They have a singular style, but it works more often than not, so why change anything? Obviously, they're bound to get punished by the best teams in the world if they don't diversify their arsenal, but we're still in the Play-Ins, and right now, there's no team that truly exploit their one-dimensional approach to the game. There's no one who can even punish them in the pick and ban phase as TL always prioritizes the same champions. A utility pick for Impact in the top lane, Lee Sin or Graves for Broxah, any mage that's up Jensen's wheelhouse, and an engage support pick for CoreJJ, preferably Rakan if he isn't banned.
Team Liquid then tries to go even throughout the early game before capitalizing in the mid and later stages of the match through impeccable macro and pristine execution. That's their M.O. and while it hasn't been all that exciting, it's certainly doing wonders in the Play-In stage against wildcard teams and seemingly less powerful challengers. Surgical precision is the name of the game as far as TL is concerned, and when they're able to impose their own playstyle, watching them compete is a thing of beauty. It's all about the way they set things up and their breadth of experience allows them to one-up anyone else who might be looking to challenge them in the 2020 World Championship prologue.
INTZ are the CBLOL champions, and while that title still carries a bit of weight, the Brazilian region hasn't accomplished anything worthy of mentioning over the last couple of years. Heck, maybe that's even an understatement. With no wins and three losses on the board, they're quite obviously the worst team in the group and are going to be sent packing in a matter of hours. Team Liquid is by no means perfect, but they have more than enough talent and mechanical prowess to outclass INTZ in every way, shape, and form. In any case, the CBLOL representatives might bring out something spicy for their last game of the tournament, so make sure to tune in!
