London Spitfire vs Philadelphia Fusion

For our first match of the day we have an incredibly exciting clash between the London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion. This will be the first time these two teams meet, and they're both entering today's game after dominant wins.

London did have a bit of trouble against Florida though. While the map count doesn't tell the complete story, it wasn't as easy as many expected. (especially on Dorado where London managed to get just a single point) It was as if they needed time to ramp up, to decide what and how they wanted to play. When things clicked however, it was only a matter of time until Florida succumbed to the pressure. They looked at ease and very much in-sync which is a worrying sign for anyone that's supposed to stand up to them.

But Philadelphia looked unfazed for their first ever match on the big, shiny new Overwatch League stage in the Burbank Arena. They looked incredible, brimming with confidence and seemingly sure in every single move and strategy.

After seeing just how dominant the Philly looked against the Houston Outlaws it's almost best if you just skip this match altogether. Jake and LiNkzr are far from a mediocre DPS duo and they were handily beat by Carpe and especially ShadowBurn who looked unstoppable regardless of the hero he was on. The sheer number of clutch plays on Genji and Pharah was mindblowing. That is great as Philly will need both of their DPS and tank lineups to perform incredibly well if they want to stand a chance against Profit, Birdring and the rest of London.

Poko was another big performer in their match against Houston, as his D.Va was a force to reckoned with. It seemed as though he simply couldn't fail a deconstruct as he always took down two or even three Houston players, thus swinging the map in Philly's favor. His synergy with the ex-Team Gigantti tank Fragi is not to be taken lightly either.

We're going with the underdogs here. The London Spitfire already lost once in the preseason and overall they look very good but not unbeatable and if Philadelphia comes out of the gates with the exact same vigor as two days ago, this could be one hell of a fight. If London take time to ramp up and Philadelphia strikes "while the iron is hot" then this could very well be an upset.
