MAD Lions vs FC Schalke 04

This is where things get a lot more interesting, although by no means more competitive. A fight between MAD Lions and Schalke 04 is, all things considered, as one-sided a clash as they come, but there's still a reason to tune in, especially if MAD have grown on you over the last couple of months.

This ragtag group of friends and rookies have awed the world with their incredible, bravado-fueled play and they're only just getting started. There's really no end to the praise they've been getting and all of it is well-deserved. If you can think of a superlative, odds are, it can be applied to the MAD Lions bunch. They're all so aggressive, in sync, and capable, and the fact that they're still rookies simply boggles the mind. They might lack experience on paper but you would never be able to tell by looking at their play. They're trading heavy blows with teams who have half a decade (or more) experience over them, and yet it's all an even fight. How is that even possible? This is not a fluke or are they winning through any cheesy strategies or off-the-wall team comps. They're just playing better League of Legends and are fearless in execution.

They're like G2 Esports in a microcosm, and that's about as big of a compliment as one can give these days.

Opposite them, we have Schalke 04 -- the only team in the LEC that is still winless after three whole weeks of play. We've already seen them fumble and fail their way through last Spring, and by the looks of it, they've regressed quite a bit over the course of the off-season. There's just nothing to commend, really, and they're without a doubt the worst and least capable team in the region at this point in time. Not all is grim for the Schalke bunch, but they'll face a uphill battle going forward, and odds are, they won't be able to overcome the hurdle.

Obviously, we're going with MAD Lions on this one. They shouldn't have too big of a problem in taking Schalke down and further solidifying their spot as the number one team in the region.
