Misfits vs Fnatic

We're still not quite sure what to think and how to feel about both Fnatic and Misfits Gaming. They've had some incredible moments, there's no doubt about it, but on the whole, from a distance, we're quite puzzled by their sudden regressions and slip-ups — moments of weakness and vulnerability that, by all means, have stunted their growth and could severely affect their chances of leaving a mark once the post-season comes around.

At their best, they can easily tango with the MAD Lions and Rogues and G2s of the world, but their best isn't always readily available and it cannot be harnessed at will — for a wide range of reasons. Fnatic are, in all fairness, riding a small (but vital) momentum wave after taking down Team Vitality yesterday, but it is by no means a cause for celebration or a feat worthy of praise — Vitality are, by all metrics, a gatekeeper, and the fact that they have some top-tier talent changes very little in that regard. Fnatic do, in all fairness, have a higher skill ceiling. They have the better players, too; they're more versatile, dangerous, and their peaks are much more impressive as well. Misfits are sort of a "one-man band" which makes them somewhat easy to prepare for. They're not easy to beat, make no mistake, but they *do* have very pronounced strengths and weaknesses.

Fnatic know darn well what needs to be done to get the win. They have the right tools for the job, too, which doesn't mean they'll utilize and harness them correctly (and in the given moment). Be that as it may, they're the better team and even though we're somewhat wary of an upset happening we'll still have to give them the benefit of the doubt. They've earned it, in spite of their few inconsistent showings and shoddy performances.
