Misfits vs Fnatic

On paper, there's no much to get excited about this one, and in reality that holds true as well. Fnatic are entering the match without any hype or momentum, and they desperately need to make a statement and get back to their winning ways. Fortunately, they'll face what is realistically the weakest team in the region -- by far.

Fnatic might not have look good (or okay, even) against Origen yesterday, but they're still an extremely talented and experienced five-man line-up. They shouldn't have much of a problem in taking Misfits down even on their worst day. Speaking of Misfits, they had their solid moments throughout their game against Rogue, but once the going got rough they were outclassed across the board. There's really nothing overly positive that one can say about them as they are yet to display anything worthy of mentioning. Still, it was their first showing on the LEC stage as a five-man line-up so we'll need a bit more time before we can fully assess their potential or lack thereof.

Perhaps most surprisingly, Fnatic's match of the week against Origen didn't end as many expected. Heck, it didn't even unravel in a logical manner -- the former "kings of Europe" were demolished from start to finish. We didn't even see them fight back as by the time they got online, Origen already had an insurmountable lead. Their one game yesterday told us nothing, other than the fact that they're going through growing pains and have a lot of work to do, Bwipo especially.

In the end, we're siding with Fnatic on this one although not with full confidence. Had they showed at least something against Origen they would've earned some semblance of trust, but as things stand, they're going to fight an uphill battle before reaching their former heights. Still, solving the Misfits Gaming puzzle should cause no trouble for the boys in black and orange.
