Seoul Dynasty vs Florida Mayhem

For our first match of the day we have an incredibly exciting clash between the Florida Mayhem and the Seoul Dynasty. But what does "exciting" in this specific match-up mean when after all this is nothing more than a fight between one of the best and worst teams in the entire League. (statistically at least)

For Seoul this is do or die as they absolutely have to win this series and in dominant fashion if they want to have a chance of reaching the Stage 2 playoffs. They had it "easy" coming into week five as they were up against Houston and Florida, two teams that are by all means beatable, especially by the Korean giant led by Fleta and Ryujehond. They only had to win against Houston and they would've been somewhat locked, but they not only failed to win but also looked somewhat lost as well. We didn't see their staple adaptation, their incredible flexibility - they were dumbfounded by what Houston brought to the table and what we witnessed in the end was a masterclass from Jake, Muma and especially LiNkzr who almost single-handedly outclassed and shut down Seoul and their primary win condition - Fleta. Things started off grim for Seoul when they lost on Hanamura - a map where people expected their dominant virtues to shine the brightest and after that things went downhill. By losing to the Outlaws - who didn't even have a chance to reach the playoffs, Seoul's spot got blown wide open.

They're looking to dominate this time around and perhaps clinch that last spot but they also failed to win when it mattered the most, in those clutch games that secure them a higher position - both in Stage 1 and now in Stage 2.

As for Florida, well, it's still too early to hype them up as a potential contender for the playoffs but the level of play that they've displayed over the last couple of weeks is downright insane - and that was against top tier opposition. The impact their new coach R2der has is evident and they've all adapted to a singular playstyle, their communication is far clearer and concise and all of that allows Tviq and Logix to run rampant against the oppositiion. It's still a strange sight to see, a team branded as one of the worst in the League for so long to now start to not only improve and play better but even dominate. They're 3-1 in their last four matches and they're playing like a Top 5 team at the moment, still a bit rough around the edges but with glimpses of brilliance as well. They're looking to play spoiler and they've always kept their spirits high even after losing almost every single game in the League and it paid off. Out of dominant Korean trifecta, Seoul is the most mortal one and it became evident in Stage 1 as well. Florida is surely looking to finish out their Stage 2 with a bang, and there really wouldn't be a better way to do that than by defeating the former Lunatic-Hai organization.

We're going with the underdogs here and do have in mind that this might be a bit of a stretch, but it could also be chance to score big. The Overwatch League is no stranger to insane, illogical upsets and this has the potential to be one. Obviously if you're going to bet on Florida bet as low as possible so that even in the worst possible outcome (them losing) you don't lose a lot.
