Team Dignitas vs Team SoloMid

A clash between Team SoloMid and Team Dignitas might not seem all that enticing at first glance, but it's actually a lot more interesting than you'd expect. First of all, Dignitas isn't a bottom-tier dweller. They're not a bona fide contender either, but they pack a punch and should not be underestimated whatsoever. They're feisty, surprisingly cohesive, and more than willing to trade heavy blows regardless of whom they're up against. So in that sense, they're head and shoulders above Counter Logic Gaming, Immortals, and the Golden Guardians.

We might be talking about nuances here, but they're hugely important in the grand scheme of things.

Team SoloMid, on the other hand, has been on a tear lately. Heck, that might even be an understatement. They've been knocking heads and taking names like it's nothing, and, frankly, they've made it look easy, too. Everyone's been carrying their fair share of the weight, and it's surprising, to say the least. To see them go from being one of the worst teams in the region to one of the best in the span of just a couple of weeks is simply mind-blowing, and they deserve all the praise and commendation they've been getting. PowerOfEvil and SwordArt, in particular, have stepped up big time and are currently one of TSM's biggest and most potent catalyst. They've truly been putting in the work and after seeing the results, we were not left indifferent. Right now, as things stand, TSM is undoubtedly one of most dangerous teams in the LCS, and just writing such a sentence makes one feel... strange? It seemingly happened out of nowhere. And sure, they always had the right players and ample potential, but to see them correct course in what feels like a weekend is just astonishing to the highest of levels.

Dignitas might be more capable than anyone expected, but they're still nowhere near as dangerous or talented as the boys in black and white. By the same token, TSM is far from perfect and they're still showing signs of weakness, but what they lack in consistency they more than make up for in sheer determination and grit. And watching them play has been nothing short of mesmerizing. They're a Top 3 team right now, so they've definitely earned our full benefit of the doubt. They shouldn't have too much trouble in taking Dignitas down, and we cannot wait to see them in action!
