Team Dignitas vs Team SoloMid

Next up, we have a fairly interesting match-up between Team SoloMid and Dignitas QNTMPAY. Now, this isn't exactly a clash of titans, but it's not half-bad either, so definitely make sure to tune in if you've got the time!

The former LCS champions are heavily favored here. and, well, there's no use in explaining why — they're better across the board and have earned our benefit of the doubt. They haven't been perfect, mind you, but they did more than enough to warrant a spot near the very top of the standings. They do have a tendency to focus a bit too much on the late game which, in all fairness, has backfired on a couple of occasions. If you're only looking to scale then you absolutely need to be perfect execution-wise in the early game. TSM, on the other hand, are not. Moreover, they don't always punish their opponents as much as they need to in order to generate big enough leads. And sure, right now, these flaws aren't all that egregious seeing how the vast majority of their peers are severely underperforming, but once those oh-so-alluring Best of 5s come around, they'll need to diversify their arsenal a bit in order to stand a chance against teams like 100 Thieves, Cloud9, and Team Liquid — assuming the latter two step up in time for the playoffs, of course.

Dignitas, on the other hand, haven't looked as bad as we expected given their many roster shuffles. They're still a mid-tier gatekeeper (at best), but they've nonetheless been playing some fairly commendable League of Legends. You'd think they'd implode a lot harder after swapping out two of their players, and yet that's not the case — so credit where credit is due. Still, if Team SoloMid come out the gates swinging (and don't make too many mistakes in the draft), they shouldn't have too much trouble in taking Dignitas down. They're better in every which way, and they should be able to prove it tonight as well.
