Team Liquid vs Golden Guardians

To start off the day, we have the Golden Guardians taking on Team Liquid. it's not exactly a spectacle, but given how things have developed thus far, it's fair to say that it'll surely end up being a lot more entertaining than anyone thought was possible coming into the second half of 2021.

The Liquid bunch is still heavily favored, of course, but you gotta give a bit of respect to GGS as well — they've grown and evolved in a myriad of ways and are currently (believe it or not) one of the better teams in the LCS. They're not yet ready to take on the upper echelon, of course, but they've done admirably well given the tools which were at their disposal. With Licorice (of Cloud9 fame) on their side as well, they're armed and ready to compete for a spot in the playoffs.

It won't come easy, of course, but there's still more than enough time for them to overtake Counter Logic Gaming and FlyQuest and secure a spot in the Top 8. They've beaten 100 Theives and nearly upset Team SoloMid as well, so it's not like they're not fit to compete at the highest of levels. Quite the contrary. Still, we know for a fact that Team Liquid will start with Alphari in the top lane which, in all fairness, means we simply have to give them the benefit of the doubt. We're talking about one of the most dominant top laners in Western history, and even though he's not as precise and dangerous as in Spring, he's still an absolute behemoth and will no doubt look to make a statement and, hopefully, once again become the full-time starter for Team Liquid.

We're going with Team Liquid on this one, but it's fair to say that there are no guarantees in the LCS right now. Favorites are dropping games left, right, and center, so if you're looking for a "safe" bet you'd be wise to look elsewhere. On paper, TL should have this one in the bag but, given the many twists and turns that have happened over the last couple of days, it might be best to just tune in to this one as a fan and spectator, rather than someone looking to put his money on the line.

In any case, entertainment should not be absent, so definitely make sure to tune in!
