Toronto Defiant vs Boston Uprising

Next up, we have Toronto Defiant vs. Boston Uprising. This one, in all fairness, doesn't really get the blood pumping. And, frankly, we're phrasing it mildly here. Simply put, whenever Boston are scheduled to compete, most folks tend to zone out, alt+tab, or just turn the stream off entirely. This might be an overly harsh way of phrasing things, but it is by no means incorrect. And, really, it's not that they're *that* bad either, but they do pale in comparison to nearly all of their peers. There's just nothing to get excited about, nothing to praise or commend. They *did* have a couple of brilliant flashes here and there, but they were nowhere near enough to warrant them a spot higher up the standings.

And, needless to say, they'll have their hands full with the Toronto Defiant. They're not perfect either, but they're surprisingly good at the game and have a coherent identity to call their own. In fact, they've done incredibly well given just how little thought most folks gave them coming into the 2021 season. They're still not ready to compete with the "big dogs" but they're not far off either. Right now, as things stand, they're arguably a Top 5 team in their region although, to be fair, that doesn't mean all that much given the sheer number of games which they've played thus far. Anyone can look good or even exceptional after just a couple of weeks — maintaining that level across prolonged periods of time is what truly separates the great from the mediocre.

With four wins and just a single loss on the board, they've definitely earned everyone's respect and admiration, and they should not be taken lightly going forward. Fortunately for the Defiant, they're up against a fairly negligible test this time around: the severely flawed and insufficiently capable Boston Uprising.

Will this be a swift 3-0 shellacking in the favor of the Defiant? Most likely, although the Boston bunch *have* been known to "overperform" on certain maps and in certain situations, so it might be a lot more competitive than most folks would expect. Regardless, Toronto is better across the board and should have no trouble in taking Boston down.
