Toronto Defiant vs Florida Mayhem

Next up, we have Florida Mayhem taking on the Toronto Defiant. Despite initial predictions, these two teams have quickly risen to prominence, and have even looked fairly good in the process, too! They are by no means favored to upset the long-established status quo, but they deserve praise for the way they've been playing thus far and have definitely done more than enough to warrant our benefit of the doubt going forward.

They are, however, inherently flawed, and they still need ample time before they can fully synergize and -- potentially -- challenge for a spot near the top of the standings. Right now, as things stand, they're 'good' but not 'great' which, in all fairness, is more than sufficient given the fact that we're still at the very start of the season. How good they'll eventually become still remains to be seen, but we've already been given a fairly thorough glimpse at both the good *and* the bad regarding both line-ups.

We're not 100% sure about the outcome of this one as the gap between these two challengers isn't nearly as big as we initially thought. Florida are better, but by how much still remains to be seen. And, frankly, even if there *is* a gap between them, it's not an insurmountable one — Toronto could definitely pull off an upset should they get on the same page and overperform.

Regardless, we'll side with Florida on this one as it's the only logical option. It's not exactly a "safe" choice but it's the best one we've got. These two teams are separated by fairly slim margins so don't expect any sort of blowout. Instead, they'll trade blows, make sloppy mistakes, and perhaps even go the five-map distance. Either way, expect a skirmish-heavy affair that's bound to entertain in all the right ways!
